An unexpected end for a beloved gaming publication!
Today, Game Informer announced the most unfortunate news! The beloved gaming publication will shut down after 33 years of gaming journalism. As a result, all of the staff will be laid off. The final issue, issue 367, of Game Informer, will be the feature on Dragon Age: The Veil Guard. Dragon Age: The Veil Guard will be the magazine’s final cover story.

They always had great, exclusive interviews that got me even more hype for new games. The exclusive interview of FFVII Rebirth got me even more hype for the game. The interview also revealed a ton of details about Rebirth.
Game Informer was the hallmark of gaming journalism as they always maintained strong integrity. Their articles were well thought out and researched. And they did not have any biases or agendas in their articles. Their reviews were my go-to for newly released games. I always felt like I could trust their opinions.
I am going to miss Game Informer dearly. The publication has created so many good memories for all gamers including me. They were a big part of my childhood. Game Informer was the most important and longest gaming publication out there. This is truly a sad end to a great era!
