Remake Part 3 Is Still Coming To PS5!
Rest assured my fellow PS5 owners, we can all breathe easy that the final game is still coming to PS5. Both Hamaguchi and Kitase reassured us with the latest updates on Part 3. Many fans were worried about the game being a Playstation 6 exclusive.
Fortunately, that won’t be the case. Remake Part 3 will still be launching on PS5. It makes sense since the first game came out to PS4 during its late life cycle. The enhanced version of Remake, Intergrade didn’t come to PS5 until a year later.
Plus, not everyone will likely be able to purchase a PS6 right away. A similar scenario is most likely to occur in Remake Part 3 with the PS5 and PS6. It’s possible that the whole Retrilogy can be cross-generational from PS5 to PS6.

Multiplatform Possibilities
Once again, Hamaguchi mentioned Square Enix wanting to bring their future games to “a wide range of platforms.” Suggesting that the whole Retrilogy could be coming to Xbox and the Switch 2. Hamaguchi and other Square Enix devs have talked about the desire of bringing more of their to other platforms. As they wanted all gamers to be able to play their games.
Square Enix has been more aggressive with getting their latest and best games on other platforms. Rebirth got glowing reviews for the PC Port. Also, the game had a great launch with the PC Port.
Rebirth being playable on the Steam Deck makes it possible for Switch 2 to run Rebirth. The Switch 2 will also be more powerful than the original Switch. So you can bet that Square Enix will want to get the Retrilogy on Nintendo.

The Scenario Completed
Kitase announced that the scenario for Part 3 is complete. He goes on to say that Nomura completed the Scenario at the end of last year. And Kitase is very satisfied with it.
Lastly, he concludes the conclusion will respect the original’s ending. While it will be a much more satisfying ending for fans. This is something that I'm happy about.
The original ending of Final Fantasy 7 wasn’t the most satisfying conclusion. It left much to the imagination of veteran players until Advent Children. So, this is good news to hear.
This will not only be the conclusion of the whole trilogy. The developers have added a lot of elements from the compilation. In addition to the new elements, the developers have already incorporated. So, they need to wrap up a lot of story beats in Part 3.

Part 3's Development
Hamaguchi reported that the development of Part 3 is going very well and is on schedule. Development started immediately after they completed work in Rebirth. By the end of 2024, the developers had already completed a build that they should aim for.
With this completed build, they can go in the direction they want to take the game. They have been going in this direction since the beginning of this year. Finally, the development is on track on everything is progressing with any delays since they started the Remake Trilogy.
This is another piece of great news. I am happy to hear development is going smoothly without any delays. It makes the 2027 release more viable. Although, I am content with the devs taking their time to make the game. If development goes beyond 2027 and into 2028 that’s fine.

Mini Games
While the number of mini-games won’t decrease from Rebirth. Hamaguchi has expressed due to fan feedback that the devs will implement the mini-games differently. Sometimes, you had to play a mini-game to progress in Rebirth. Some mini-games were fun, but others were the opposite.
I would be content if I would never have to play Gears and Gambits. I wasn’t a fan of Rebirth version of Fort Condor either. Queen’s Blood, however, was fantastic and Hamaguchi gave us some news about it for Part 3.
Queen’s Blood
Queen’s Blood will be returning! It will be unique to Part 3. How unique Queen’s Blood will be to Part 3 is a mystery. It could be a new side story since the card game had one in Rebirth.
Slapping Mini Game
There’s another mini-game that everyone is looking forward to including me. That’s the infamous slapboxing mini-game! For those who don’t know about this mini-game; it’s a slapping against between Tifa and Scarlett in the original game.
A lot of players were asking about the slapping mini-game appearing in Part 3. Hamaguchi reassured everyone that the mini-game would return. However, it may be presented in a different format.
Hopefully, it’s still the same except expanded and playable. Because after everything Scarlett has done, I want to get some payback by slapping the snuff out of her.

The Highwind
When asked about the Highwind in Part 3, Hamaguchi and Kitase told us that they were not going to cheat the system with the airship. The Highwind will a big role in Part 3.
In the original game, the Highwind was used as the primary means of travel in the later half. The airship will let us experience the world from a higher perspective in Part 3. The devs also want players to fly freely in the sky.
Hamaguchi also teased that we will be able to do something new and special with the Highwind in Part 3. In addition to being able to travel the world freely which Hamaguchi ensures that we will absolutely be able to do.
Hamaguchi really wants us to tell us about that special, new feature. But he holds back and gives any details. Finally, Kitase adds that this special thing will blow us away.

A lot of exciting updates from comjng Kitase and Hamaguchi. Also, you can tell that Hamaguchi and Kitase are excited and happy to share these updates. This all makes it an exciting time to be a fan of Final Fantasy 7.
While we wait for more information. I have a feeling that Remake Part 3 is going to be special. It may surpass Rebirth. Regardless, I am looking for more updates on Final Fantasy 7 Part 3!
